HI, I'M TIM!
A HANDS-ON
UX/UI DESIGNER.

Since 2016 I have been working as a UX designer in agile app and web development teams. In addition to work, I gained my knowledge through my master's degree in human-computer interaction (LMU Munich) and bachelor's degree in human-computer systems (University of Würzburg). 🎓

🧑‍🎨 My approach

To create the best experiences, I rely on holistic design, strengthen understanding of the big picture and act as a problem solver. In doing so, I work user-centered and continuous align with business and technology.

It's important to put yourself in your user's shoes and look behind the scenes. That's a good reason to be an ask-oholic. 😄

👨🏻‍💻 Work experience

I’m currently working as UX designer at Cloudflight in Vienna. Before that, I worked for Rewe International, Sixt and Vienna Social Fund as a UX/UI designer for web and apps (Android & iOS) after having worked in other roles in IT departments (e.g. web developer, technician).

🦄 Agile UX

I’m experienced in working in agile product teams (Scrum, Kanban), design teams and also gained first experiences in product management and scrum master.

I see myself in the entire design process and prefer neither UX nor UI - it's part of being able to switch between them and the most important thing to me is to always work in a user-centered way.

🛣️ My basic design process

A design process and its methods must be adapted to the project and the team. My goal is to cover an end-to-end UX/UI process.

In the discovery phase, I focus on user research, clarifying requirements and understanding the problem space. It’s important to understand the business value, user needs, and technical capabilities.

In the delivery phase, I focus on creating low to high fidelity mockups and prototypes as needed. I believe in close collaboration with the product team, stakeholders and (key) users. I validate my concepts and designs through user testing and design reviews.

Other areas I focus on when possible are design libraries, accessibility, data analytics and UX copywriting. With my background in computer science (education as IT Technician), I try to develop a technical understanding of the respective products.

In order to achieve a valuable application for the business, transparency and close collaboration with product management, developers and stakeholders are the key - that's my attitude towards teamwork.
